May 5 - tramping up kiwi bush

Missed the AQ hostel dearly last night - base sucked. Good to be back at AQ.

Had a lovely day hiking up Ben lemond - 1750m challenging hike but met some great people, saw some amazing vistas and got a reality check on my conditioning for kili.

Also learnt that my credit card doesn't arrive till Monday. And planning a trip via bus is a lot more work than renting a car!
