June 4 - of whale songs and hope

Today is my last day in Sydney before I move up northwards to warmer waters. Migrate along with the whales. .,

After a lazy morning breakfast , walked down to daring harbour, the Kings wharf and the sea life aquarium and the wildlife aquarium. Mostly people watching as window shopping was banned to resist any temptation.

Exchanged emails re work and career while I was waiting for the boat to show up- yes yes I know. Not quite what I had intended but life has its own plans.

Started sailing watching the Sydney harbour fade away into the horizon and looked forward to hearing the whale songs. We looked far and wide, hither and tithed, low and high - but to no avail. They were not going to show their pretty humpbacks. Oh wait - what was that shot of spray in the water. 3 lovely creatures having a ball with all the attention from 3 different boats converging on them. They put on quite a show - being chased by us and then chasing us down. iPhone is only so good with pics but attaching what I could capture.

Had to spend the evening and the night in the bus. Started reading my color
Purple. Was a dark but informative read of the life of African slaves and an interesting take on god - being defined as everything that ever was , everything that is and everything that ever will be. Very broad , unbiased , and easy to obtain as opposed to the elusive gods defined by religion, culture, race or even spirituality.
